About Us

The White Hart Hotel is one of the City’s most ancient Inns situated in a central position within the old city wall. The hotel boasts 55 en-suite, non-smoking bedrooms which include full English breakfast, FREE wifi and FREE car parking. 15 bedrooms are in the original part of the building and the remaining 40 bedrooms are in the extension at the rear of the hotel with lift access. The hotel also features two conference rooms - the Jury Room which can cater for small meetings of up to 10 and the larger Boardroom for meetings up to 60. With a choice of areas to dine, an extensive selection of freshly cooked meals, fine cask ales and a comprehensive wine-list, all tastes are catered for. **Non-residents who wish to use the car park will need to PAY & DISPLAY at the meter and redeem their ticket against food or drinks purchased in the bar.

Function Rooms

The White Hart has two conference rooms – the Jury Room which can cater for small meetings of up to 12 and the larger Boardroom for meetings up to 60. Small private functions can be held in our Bottlescreu Bills restaurant which can hold up to 40 people for a buffet or 38 for a sit down meal. With a choice of areas to dine, an extensive selection of freshly cooked meals, fine cask ales and a comprehensive wine-list, all tastes are catered for.

  • Christmas Market on Cathedral Green this year. The Market will run from Friday 23 November until Sunday 16 December: Mon - Wed, 10am - 8pm Thurs - Sat, 10am - 9pm Sun, 11am - 5pm The market will open from 6pm until 10pm on the opening day (23 November). The Cathedral Green, at the heart of the city centre, will be brought to life by the Market, with stalls offering unique, handmade and unusual gifts, decorations and food items – everything needed for a perfect Christmas celebration and to create a real Christmas buzz at the heart of the city. The Exeter Christmas Market will represent the best of what Britain, the South West and the rest of Europe has to offer – with a mix of great food, excellent crafts, unique gifts and decorations. The iconic Cathedral occupies a special place in the heart of Exeter. It has been the focus of life in the city for centuries. The Cathedral look forward to welcoming Exeter residents and city visitors to The Close to enjoy the atmosphere of this unique Market, which will end with a wonderful Exeter Nativity Procession heralding the start of the celebratory Christmas season.
